Sabine Suppmann holds a degree in Microbiology from the University of Munich, Germany. She has established a service for molecular cloning, protein production and purification at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry and during this time has developed important tools to overcome major bottlenecks in this field. Sabine Suppmann was co-founder and coordinator of the European network of Protein Production Facilities P4EU (https://p4eu.org/). In 2023, she joined the new Fraunhofer Institute for Immunology, Infection and Pandemic Research ITMP-IIP in Penzberg, Bavaria to produce proteins for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
